CHALLENGE

Potato late blight and harmful chemical leaching

TECHNOLOGY

Biological control solutions for sustainable disease management

POTENTIAL

Protects crop yields while reducing environmental impact

Goal

The aim of this project is to develop a new series of organic plant-based cheese

The goal of MyFunBlight is to help prevent that the Danish and European potato industry will be severely harmed by the devastating effect of the potato late blight disease.

The project will help enable fast development and commercialization of new cost-effective biological disease control measures – while saving the groundwater below potato fields from extensive PFAS and TFA leaching.

Plan

The project consists of technical validation of key elements of our value proposition and initial development of the recommended product application.

It will create the basis for customer validation and investor engagement, ensuring commercial traction towards product launch in 2029.

Expected results

The project will help secure the future of high-yielding potato production while pioneering green biocontrol solutions to both conventional and organic producers.

This comes with tremendous potential for eliminating PFAS/TFA leaching to the environment, and for prolonging the organic potato season to the benefit of consumers and the entire value chain.
