Project: BIONetZero

The Path Towards Climate-Neutral Production with Biosolutions for the Agrifood and Energy-Intensive Industries

BIONetZero is a European project supporting SMEs in the agrifood and energy‑intensive industries in developing and scaling biosolutions that enable net‑zero production. Through financial support, expert guidance, and strong innovation networks, the project helps companies reduce dependency on critical inputs while strengthening competitiveness and sustainability.

Innovation and Green Transition through Biosolutions

The purpose of the BIONetZero project is to reduce European companies’ dependency on critical inputs and technologies. This will be achieved by developing new biosolutions, substitute products, innovative solutions, and services that enable companies to reach net-zero production while preserving as many critical raw materials as possible.

What Does BIONetZero Offer?

Together with the project partners, BIONetZero aims to create opportunities for more than 100 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the agrifood sector and energy-intensive industries.

Participating companies will gain access to:
  • Financial support: The project offers different types of grants depending on the company’s development stage.
  • Networking activities: Events, company visits, and investor meetings.
  • Expert support: Assistance in identifying and connecting with mentors, specialists, and technology providers.
Key Account Manager (KAM): Each SME will be assigned a dedicated KAM who supports the development of biosolutions and helps build relevant networks.
