Fresh from an inspiring few days at Bridge2Food 2025 in The Hague, we're proud to share some exciting news: In June 2026, Copenhagen will host Bridge2Food. Read on for highlights and a glimpse of what awaits in Denmark next year.

As part of a strong Nordic innovation ecosystem, Denmark is ready to welcome the global community of alternative protein frontrunners.

With world-class research, forward-thinking companies and a political will to accelerate the green transition, we’re eager to show what our region has to offer and to continue building the bridges between science, business and sustainability.

A taste of the future: What we learned at Bridge2Food 2025

Last week, 660 people had signed up for the buzzing event in the Hague and many insights and research results on the protein shift were shared within especially three overarching tracks: Delivering for Consumers, New Product Development & Formulation Challenges, and Optimizing Protein Production.

Tastings of promising products made of all from European soy beans, yellow and green peas, mycoproteins, grass proteins to fermented rapeseed cake were the natural center of attention of the many business and networking dialogues taking place in the open fair space. Hybrid-products and consumer involvement on one hand played a special part, as did scaling up the innovative production methods on the other hand.

Networking, tastings and transformation: Bridge2Food 2025 in The Hague gathered 660 participants last week for dialogue on the future of proteins from novel ingredients to consumer insights and scale-up challenges (Photo: Food & Bio Cluster Denmark).

In the future, especially two trends will shape the landscape of food products worldwide, keynote speaker Cyrille Filott from Rabobank predicted: The rising use of anti-obseity medication and a worldwide population getting older.

A message trending in several presentations was the importance of involvement and collaborations in order to address common challenges and harness an industry in transformation, which is extensively reflected in the mindset of the Danish cluster of food and bioressources.

It’s inspiring to be part of a global network driven by the same ambition to build a more sustainable food future.
